Students are expected to participate in the CMC Lectures, a series of public events on the best in traditional and modern scholarship. Each term the college invites leading scholars and practitioners to, for example, give tafsīr of part of the Qur’an, teach specific texts of great Muslim scholars, or to share the latest research and experience.
The lectures are given by by prominent scholars and practitioners, and cover a range of topics relevant to Islam and Muslim in Britain. They are intended to help students and the public generally think more deeply and critically about how to apply Islamic traditions and practices in a contemporary context.
The programme for the CMC Lectures can be viewed here, in the news section of our site. Additionally, recordings of the lectures given to date are available on the Multimedia page.
